Why does my Saalt Cup / Disc have an 8 hour wear sticker?Updated a year ago

Hey Aussie! Thanks for purchasing from Saalt. Saalt Cups and Discs are FDA-regulated and compliant. In the US that means a 12-hour wear time. In Australia, that means an 8-hour wear time. The governing body for medical devices in Australia says that it's only safe to use a menstrual cup/disc for up to 8 hours even though all other governing bodies and research say up to 12 hours is perfectly safe. We hope that helps clear up any confusion.
