How do I measure my cervix?Updated 8 months ago

Knowing your cervix height will be necessary for both menstrual cup and menstrual disc mastery.

To measure your cervix height, follow these steps:

With clean hands, insert 1–2 fingers into your vaginal canal. Feel for the opening of your cervix, which feels similar to soft cartilage (some compare to the tip of a nose but softer). Your cervix will have a tiny hole in the center. Reaching your cervix with your finger inserted to the 1st knuckle = low, 2nd knuckle = medium, 3rd knuckle = high.

Your cervix can change position throughout your cycle. Because your cervix may descend lower into the vaginal canal or continue to sit higher during your period, it's best to check your cervix height several times throughout your period.

Generally, if your cervix height is low to medium, we recommend you choose the Saalt Cup or Disc - Small. If your cervix height is medium to high, we recommend you choose the Saalt Cup or Disc - Regular. Other factors can influence sizing as well, but those general guidelines can help you know which size may be right for you. For the best sizing recommendation, we recommend taking our Saalt Cup Quiz if you haven’t already done so (you'll need to head back over to Saaltco.uk to finalize your purchase after completing the quiz on the U.S. site).gs: cervix, crevice, cervical length
